London 2013

The first not so unexpected thing you notice about enormous city London are the tiring traffic jams. On our field trip to London we needed five long hours to get to the hotel. Fortunately, the luxurious hotel didn't disappoint us because it satisfied all our needs and more.

First of all the breakfast was delicious. It contained typical British dishes like sunny side-up eggs, sausages, bacon etc. Secondly, the clean hotel room with TV, hairdryer, four mirrors, big beds, a bath and a big window with a view on not so bad airport station (others had the view on a farm), certainly made us feel like we're on vacation. The third but not last positive thing about our lovely hotel was the good location because the subway station without which we ''couldn't survive'' was only a minute away.

What we saw in London you can't describe. There were so many people of different nationalities from us Slovenians to Indians, numerous Chinese people and our neighbours Italians. We rarely heard anyone talk in English except the ones who worked at the shops and were selling something. We were mostly surrounded by tourists.

London is a city full of world known sights. Let's start with the Buckingham pallace where the not so young queen Elizabeth the second still lives. Then there was the London Eye which we could observe only from the distance. We also saw Big Ben and other great sights worth seeing.

The food in London wasnt't bad at all. Junk food at the world-known Mc Donald's tasted really good but it was more like something you eat because it's fast to get and to eat, quite cheap and almost everyone likes pommes frites and hamburgers. Of course there were probably some sophisticated restaurants serving healthy food but on a vacation like London Mc Donald's takes all the benefits.

Something special in London was the visit of Madame Tussaud's. Those wax models of famous people looked so real that nobody could resist but to take photographs with them.

This is our short description of how in London was and where we had so much fun. We hope we'll go there again.
